Press Release Summary = Imagine packing up your husband and kids and going to a
hotel...so you can work! That's what happened to Becki Noles last winter. Noles,
Visionary of Virtual Accuracy, recounts her story in the June 2006 issue of Parents
Magazine, on stands now.

Press Release Body = Spartanburg, SC May 26, 2006 - As a virtual assistant, the
Internet serves as the hub of Noles' business. Last winter in the middle of an ice
storm, she lost power and her Internet connection for several days. With a deadline
looming, she packed up her laptop and checked in to a hotel. Entrepreneurs who
conduct the majority of their business online face similar threats. Weather, human
error, intentional viruses, terrorist attacks and a host of other variables can have
a detrimental impact on business and in some cases, as demonstrated after hurricanes
Katrina and Rita, can result in the demise of a business altogether.

Even individuals are finding themselves more and more vulnerable as millions utilize
the Internet on a daily basis to check bank balances, pay bills, order groceries,
renew prescriptions, communicate with others, and even look up movies and
restaurants. So how does one plan against the unpredictable?

There are things you can do to protect yourself and your business. "We are in the
process of purchasing a gas powered generator so we can use it during power outages"
says Noles. "Additionally as part of our annual budget, we figure in hotel
expenditures in case of power outages. We live in the "South" so they don't handle
snow and ice very well and we get on average 1-2 power outages every winter that
last for about 3-5 days." Wireless service solves the Internet connection problem.

During the last power outage, Noles had a subcontractor who took over some of her
work, and Noles says they try to arrange for a quick back up in case something like
this happens. That is one advantage of virtual assistants - they are located all
over the world. However with her subcontractors getting so busy, she is going to
have to look elsewhere for assistance.

The moral of the story.be prepared for anything. If you have to move out of your
office to get things done, then you have to do what you have to do. But it is also
great to have a back up person that you can call upon to assist at a moments notice.
